It's A Girl!!!

What a day!!! We went to church today. The boys looked especially nice in their new matching dress shirts.

We ate lunch at Quincy's and then bought our Christmas tree. It's a beautiful Frasier Fur. They are my favorite!! I'm glad we could afford one this year. (Thanks Babe!)

We stopped at a couple more stores and then headed home. When we arrived home I noticed that there were 2 messages on my cell phone. The first one was from Glory Ranch Alpacas telling us that Delight had had her baby!!! The second message was from them also letting us know that it was a GIRL!!! Yeah!! We were STOKED!

You see, a male must meet high standards in order to breed. Those who don't are usually culled and can be sold for btwn $250-$500 dollars. The females can always be bred up (unless they have some sort of defect and then they can't). You can sell them for full price. :) Basically, we just made our money back today. ;)

Her registered name will be Delight's Destiny. We will call her Destiny.

It was wet and rainy today so they looked all yucky! But they are pretty when they are clean and dry.

Here are some pictures of our adorable little girl!

Precious!

Close Up!
So little

Sweet!

Tired Mommy.

Sparkle is checking out Michael. She LOVES him! She doesn't like anyone else...She's not even that friendly to her owners. It's hilarious! She does that EVERY TIME we go over there. Heehee

I had to take a picture of my little guy of course. :)

Animals :)

Okay, so now we officially have 5 animals who are paid for in full but do not yet live here with us. Do you know how weird that is for me??? I want to take care of the living things that are mine. I want to enjoy them. Yet, they are all scattered around the southeast.

Let's see: Delight and Rico are across town so that's not very difficult. We see them about once every 2 weeks or so. :) We will hopefully pop in more once Delight drops her cria (baby alpaca). She is due the first week of December.

Bella Cocoa Powder lives in Charlotte, NC. She will reside at her current farm until 3 weeks after she gives birth in June. Cria will obviously come home with her.

Cygwyn (Great Pyrenees dog) will be picked up in Atlanta by us on the 20th of December. We will take him to the farm where Delight and Rico live so that he can bond with his new job. :)

Rowdy (Great Pyrenees dog) is staying at his home here in Homer, GA until we bring Cygwyn and alpacas over to our farm to live.

When is that you ask?

Well, Delight, cria, and Rico will come home sometime mid-late Jan.

Both dogs will also come at that time.

Cocoa will come in July. (It is not good to move a pregnant girl. If they get too stressed out they can lose their babies and that's obviously not good. She will be very early pregnant at that time and will have her cria with her so it won't be as stressful. Yes we are re-breeding her before we take her home.)

Grass Update, Pasture Update, Cutest Kids Update

Cute boy alert!

Judah is mixing water, leaves, and grass aka "pancakes".

The Hay continues to grow!!! THANK-YOU God!! Please keep praying. He is answering. :)

This area really looks nice and healthy!!

Even the shady areas seem to be growing.

This little section on the end (where all the little stumps are) will be fenced into the pasture to give them more shade.

Poor Delight looks Soooooo pregnant. She has that, all too familiar, "help me" look that most women get at the end of pregnancy. lol It won't be long though!! She will drop that cria sometime in the next 3ish weeks. We're SO excited!!
He's getting bigger and he's STILL adorable!! We had to change his name though... He was named Royal Prince Orien by his breeders BUT when she went to enter it into the system on Saturday that name was already taken!!
Bummer. So Michael and I came up with a new name. :) Rico Arcani.
Rico means: Strong power; hardy power
Arcani means: Destined for greatness
So, his new name means: Strong, hardy power, destined for greatness!
Awesome huh? :)

This is the sweetest photo set!! They were just playing and I started snapping shots. What do you think?

Pictures

Fall Crafts are the BEST! Here's one we did a couple days ago...
Thomas' turkey

Judah's turkey
Gideon's turkey
My boys are the ONLY kids who want a BREAK after they do a CRAFT! Sheesh! It wasn't like it was 4 pages of Math...or reading....
Five minutes boys!
Darth Vader masks are all the rage Mom.
Aren't I the CUTEST thing? Yes, you are Gideon!!

Okay moving on...
These are the guns our cool Daddy made for us...
and we KNOW how to use them!

They got REALLY excited when they found out that Daddy had caught a SNAKE! I was less excited but I did get the camera. They didn't even put on proper clothing! That will be apparent in the next few pics. Hehehe

Isn't he attractive in a totally creepy way? He is a Diadophis punctatus: Southern Ringneck Snake. We called this school. :)

Judah was brave!

Ginger was not impressed by the snake.

Running to set the snake free. The poor thing probably thought it was ABOUT time!! LOL

Bye bye reptile!

We spent DAYS cutting down small-med trees and cutting the vines, vines, and MORE vines, so that they will have some tree shade. We want a happy farm. :)

It's really impossible to realize from this picture just how MASSIVE this pile turned out to be. It was gone within 25 minutes of the tree shredding truck coming here. Yeah! In it's place we got 2 HUGE mounds of wood chips. Yes!!

They cut a tree down too but I will have to take a pic of that later. Battery went dead.

I cleared that back part out by myself. :) The ground part. Michael did the chain saw part. We all did the drag the limbs and trees to the designated piles part. :)

In case you missed it...that is THREE rows deep. Be impressed.
