It Was A Success!

Well, overall Gid had a great birthday. He is teething so he got to nurse a lot, which he loved. He was also sent money by a couple of relatives and we took him to Walmart where he picked out this
and this

The car plays music and drives itself and is LOUD. Elmo is an Up Up Elmo and sings a cute little song about going up up and says things like, "Down please, up please, hug please. At least it's a polite noisy toy. :) I don't mind noisy toys, truly. Only the gun ones that screech but we don't have any of those...yet. :) And NO, Dad, that is not an invitation to buy one for them. LOL

He opened 2 presents that he loved. One was a big bag of 120 Megablocks.

The other was a ball popper toy. EVERYONE loved that one. At one point Gideon took the toy and carried it away because the other boys were being a bit (cough) selfish. They all had a good time with it. We had the big boys back off for a few minutes and give Gid a chance to play with it by himself.

I'll tell you what. The lazy mother in me is ready to go out and buy two more ball poppers so I don't have to moniter selfishness all day. The diligent/realistic mother is getting ready to train some hearts today. Good thing the diligent mother in me is winning. :) (but I can understand why people buy multiples of everything. It's much easier than learning/training to share and think of others, but less profitable.) Before y'all freak out I will say that it's not that we never buy three of everything. It's about 50/50. Sometimes each boy can have their own personal thing and sometimes they have to share. We are preparing them for the real world and for the kingdom. :)

The cake came out cute. The boys all knew right away what it was. It was supposed to look like Michael's garbage truck.

Well, I could write more but heart training is calling me.

Hope that everyone has a wonderful day!-Angela

Love the pictures. Looks like the other two enjoyed his toys as much as he did. I liked that popper toy. The garbage truck (cute idea.) I didn't see Michael playing with the toys.

Great picture. And the garbage truck cake was a neat idea also. Hope you're having a great Christmas season.

Michael played but he didn't have a shirt on so he didn't want any pics taken of him. :)
