Update

First of all you need to scroll down and read the prayer request in the previous post... otherwise this will make no sense to you. :)

UPDATE:
The vet said that there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with Delight that he can see. He did "milk" her. (That's REALLY hard to do with an alpaca. They aren't made for that.)
She has plenty of milk. The vet gave her 3 diff shots. One mild sedative, one to increase supply, and one to make it let down fast. Poor drugged up thing.

The GOOD news is that they got enough goat colostrum in the cria and Destiny's lab work turned out fine! The vet says she is very healthy! He was pleased. She's a spunky little thing.
She will not have to have a transfusion. That will save $400.00 right there. If an alpaca doesn't get enough colostrum you have to have a tranfusion within a certain amount of time so that they don't have a lifelong compromised immune system. If they have that, even a cold could kill them.

SO please keep praying. She has not nursed her yet but she is NOT rejecting the baby. She smells her, is protective of her, and "talks" to her...she just won't nurse.

Michael and I appreciate the prayer support.
