IT'S GOOOONE!!!

No, not the pink eye. BUT...we did sell our other house today. We're really glad about that. It takes a huge weight off of Michael's shoulders and it will help up keep the man we just hired to run the routes employed. LoL
I took Judah to Awana Cubbies tonight. Thomas was so disappointed. Hopefully he will be better next week. I was proud of Judah tonight. HE did all 6 of his verses and got 2 patches tonight. Yeah!! Thomas will have to do 4 next week to make up for the weeks he's missed (That's why Judah had so many) but he will do fine. He already knows 3 and we will do the 4th one this week.
We (the boys and I ) have started to do "school" every day for about an hour. We do 1/2 hour in the morning and 1/2 hour in the afternoon. They are really enjoying it. Today we worked on shapes and colors and Judah worked on writing his name. Thomas is learning how to make a T for his name. Yesterday we worked on counting and recognizing the numbers. They also learned to write the number one. Tomorrow I have scheduled extra curricular activities. Music and cooking. They will probably really enjoy those. They love to do both. Maybe we'll make some bread. Yeah! We haven't done an kneading by hand in a while. Well, I guess that will depend on the pinkeye thing. Hopefully their eyes will be clear in the morning. They looked almost better today.
I start teaching the 3s Sunday School class on Sunday morning. I'm really excited about it!!!! Thomas wasn't too excited that I was going to be his teacher but now has warmed up to the idea. Judah is disappointed that I'm not going to be his teacher. I told him that I'm still his teacher at home for home school.
Gotta run and make myself go to bed eventually. Love, Ang :)

Pinkeye is the PITS!!!!

Well this is week 2 of pinkeye at our house. Thomas got it last Monday and we did the whole week of frantic cleaning, MEGA laundy (went through a whole box of detergent in ONE week) and eyedrops. They all seemed better for a couple days and then...WHAM! Saturday night both Gideon and Thomas started oozing again. So, for the last couple of days we've been doing LOTS and LOTS of laundry and disinfecting. The house is not quite as neat and picked up as it normally is but we've GOT to get rid of this thing. I can't stay inside forever. We need to be able to get out and go places like the store, etc. Plus the kids have really been missing Awana on Wednesday nights. They have been keeping up with the verses though so that's good. They really enjoy learning them and I'm so glad that they are getting the Word inside of them. They are really learning it too, not just memorizing. They will quote Scripture randomly throughout the day. Judah was talking the other day about how we needed to tell Gideon about how to ask Jesus into his heart because, "God loved us and sent His Son". It was great. My little evangelist. :):) Reminds me of me at that age. I was always telling my elementary school friends about how to be saved.
Anyway, this has been a nice little breather. I need to go and do some abdominal exercises before bed. Blessings!- ADL

I finally feel OLD!

It's not that I feel old now that I've turned 30. It's that I feel definitely behind the times now, and I'm relatively ok with that. I don't really know what an IPOD is. I don't have a mp3 player. I don't instant message.
My days are filled with much more fun stuff like; diapers, potty training, memorizing Bible verses with the boys, cooking, cleaning, cleaning, and MORE cleaning (I'd forgotten what life with a toddler is like!), cooking, baking, discipline, discipline and MORE discipline (did I mention the 3 boys under the age of 5). WHEW! I'm tired just typing that. Just seeing it in black and white makes real. Anyway, I"m going to try and do this regularly. Hope everyone enjoys it! Blessings!- ADL
